VidToScript ("we", "us") operates vidtoscript.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, and profile picture from Google OAuth when you sign in.
  • Usage data — URLs or audio/video files you submit, and the transcripts and summaries we generate for you.
  • Payment data — collected and stored by Creem (our payment processor) directly. We do not store card numbers or bank details.
  • Log data — IP address and basic request logs, retained up to 30 days for security.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide transcription and summarization.
  • To manage your account, quota, and subscription.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, account alerts).
  • To detect abuse and maintain service security.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI models.

3. Third-party processors

We share data with the following sub-processors solely to deliver the service:

  • Google — authentication (OAuth 2.0)
  • Creem — payment processing and merchant-of-record. Creem processes payments under its own privacy policy at creem.io/privacy.
  • Groq — audio transcription. Audio is sent to Groq's API and not retained after processing.
  • OpenRouter / Anthropic — AI summarization and translation. Text is not retained for model training.
  • Cloudflare R2 — temporary file storage during processing. Files are deleted upon task completion.
  • Neon / Vercel — database and hosting infrastructure.

4. Data retention

Task records and transcripts are retained until you delete your account or request deletion. Temporary audio files are deleted automatically after processing completes.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@vidtoscript.com. We will respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the site.
